An evening of Sign Language literature. Meeting with deaf performer Debbie Z Rennie

NOT WHAT WE AGREED is a project where sign language and music meet. It is a stage that brings together the deaf community and professional performers from the hearing world. In 2024, the project became an international project, with Deaf performing arts professionals from Finland and Sweden joining and giving workshops to the Lithuanian participants.

On 8 May at 18h30 in the music club OLDMAN KAUNAS we invite you to get acquainted with the sketches of the deaf literary works created in the project, as well as with one of the project's lecturers, Debbie Z Rennie, a deaf performer from Sweden. Debbie is not only a theatre professional and director, but also a creator, lecturer and workshop facilitator for the deaf community. During the evening you will have the opportunity to get to know the lecturer and her works. The lecturer will also present the works of the literary workshop of NOT WHAT WE AGREED with Lithuanian deaf artists, which will be performed for the first time in public by the participants of the project.

Participants: Dominykas Vaitiekūnas, pianist Kazimieras Krulikovskis, sign language authors Arūnas Bražinskas, Nina Šamakova, Arnoldas Matulis, Justina Čiplytė, Lea Milašauskė, Vilius Glušokas and others.
