NOT WHAT WE AGREED: Presentation and Discussion

“NOT WHAT WE AGREED" is an act where sign language and music meet. It is a stage that brings together the Deaf community and professional performers from the hearing world. In 2024, the project became an international one, with Deaf performing arts professionals from Finland and Sweden joining the project and giving workshops to participants.

On 12 May 2024, the results of the musical workshops held in February-May will be presented in the programme of the festival "DIVE INTO THE THEATRE": sketches of original songs performed in International Signs, Lithuanian Sign Language, Lithuanian spoken language and English language. The poetry pieces, created during the Deaf Literature Workshop, will be turned into music. An experimental video projection created by video artist Kristijonas Dirse for the project will also be presented.

Participants include: Dominykas Vaitiekūnas, pianist Kazimieras Krulikovskis, sign language authors Arūnas Bražinskas, Nina Šamakova, Arnoldas Matulis, Justina Čiplytė, sign language performers Gabija Varenkevikevičiūtė, Paulius Jurjonas, Rūta Mingailaitė, Arnas Dambrauskas, Lea Milašauskas, Lea Milašauskas, Vilius Glushokas, Šarūnas Zdanavičius and others.
