CityTelling Festival. Litvak music programme

The creator of this Litvak music programme, Arkady Gotesman, invites you to a concert series dedicated to the presentation of Jewish musical culture. The programme will feature a concert of Jewish songs by singer Marija Krupoves that will remember the experiences of the Holocaust. A concert series by the Joint Lithuanian Klezmer Orchestra will perform Jewish folklore recorded on expeditions through lands that were once part of the former Grand Duchy of Lithuania. The symbols of Jewish heritage and its rich legacy will be combined in composer Anatoly Shenderov’s work After Chagall, and the connections between painting and music will be highlighted in A Jewish Suite, presented by performer Vyacheslav Ganelin.
