Kaunas Beast Brotherhood

2022 On January 19–23, Kaunas will be filled with events and the year of the European Capital of Culture title will be officially opened.

On January 22, Kaunas County Public Library joins the “Rebellion” part of the opening program “Kaunas - European Capital of Culture 2022” with the project “Kaunas Beast Brotherhood” and invites to the presentation of the sculpture exhibition. Artists Ala Volkova and Donatas Beniulis will introduce the members of Kaunas Mythical Beast Brotherhood, awakened from the old cellars of the library, books and stories of Kaunas.

You will be able to learn more about the world of sentient beings on January 22nd. playing the role-playing game LARP, led by Andrius Ūdra, developer of the Nordic LARP (life-action role play) experiential games. He has been developing games and participating in international Nordic LARP festivals (Estonia, Denmark, Norway, Belarus, Lithuania) for nine years, has created over ten author's games, and prepared a script for the Uprising for the Baltic gods - Thunder, Internet and Other Gods.
The exhibition will run from January 22 to March 1, during library hours, and especially, only one Sunday per year, on January 23.
