Nemuno7 | The Ship of Culture Grand Opening

The opening of the unique project Nemuno7 will take place on 22nd of May, Sunday, at 9.30 PM

An exclusive performance, created for the opening of the dredger in Zapyškis, will be the pinnacle of the 2nd act of the Contemporary Myth of Kaunas Trilogy: THE CONFLUENCE. Guests will dive into an audio-visual story about water, sustainability and dialogue called Nemuno7.

The duo Tykumos from Klaipėda will play with the sounds of underground, geological, bodily, visible and invisible water currents, while the metal structures of the dredger will become musical instruments for one evening. Together with a percussionist Viktoras Rubežas, the duo will combine these modern tunes with original atmospheric music and authentic folk records of mixed choir Kamertonas, to create a one-of-a-kind musical fusion.

Lighting designer Mantas Bartusevičius and Disco4U will illuminate the scene into a colourful spectacle.

Important! The opening event will be watched from the shore.

The dredger itself, the exhibition “Fluid bodies. Human and Inhuman Characters”, the exhibition of artworks on the deck “Thrive” and pioneer plants exposition will be open to the public from 24th of May. As the number of people on board is strictly limited, please register and purchase the tickets in advance (available from 13 May)
