Festive Event of the Centenary of the University of Lithuania

In 2022 we will celebrate culture in Kaunas, but not only! This year also marks the beginning of the University of Lithuania. February 16, 2022 the University of Lithuania (UL) was established on the basis of Higher Courses (1920 - 1922). Although UL, which existed during the Interwar period, has not survived to this day, modern higher education institutions currently operating in Kaunas – Kaunas University of Technology, Lithuanian University of Health Sciences and Vytautas Magnus University – have their roots in the University of Lithuania.
