International Puppet Theatre Festival KAUNAS PUPPET 22

 

International Puppet Theatre Festival KAUNAS PUPPET 22 intends to become a herald and a bright accent of “Kaunas - European Capital of Culture 2022”. The festival program, based on geographical, genre and thematic variety, will aim to reveal the unlimited possibilities of puppet theater expression, to provoke, to raise relevant issues, to invite for discussion. It is planned to invite 17 groups from different European countries and Lithuania and to show about 30 performances for audiences of different ages during the 5 days of the festival.
The program of the event also includes creative workshops with the most famous masters of puppet and object theaters, meetings and discussions of the festival participants,  exhibitions,  performances of children's groups. The major part of the program will be free and dedicated for families with the 3-10 years old children, but special discoveries can also be expected by adult audiences too.
