CityTelling Festival. Window to Jewish Life in Kaunas before the Holocaust, an exhibition
The CityTelling Festival invites you to an exhibition of authentic artifacts. This exhibition and its accompanying catalogue will display various unique, authentic documents: photographs, medals, letters, envelopes, receipts, business cards, invitations, etc. The exhibition, based on a collection of Lithuanian Judaica assembled by Michailas Duškesas, opens a window into the thriving life of the Kaunas Jewish community that was destroyed by the Holocaust. It peers behind the curtain of the Jewish religious world, introducing viewers to various political and social movements, economic and educational 69 activities, and tells the story of the important Jewish contribution to Lithuania’s economy, culture, and education.
