Book Art Exhibition | FIRST EDITION
2025 04 17 – 09 28 | Galaunė Hause-Museum
Exhibition opening – April 17, 5:00 PM.
The “First Edition” means the first version of the book and the first edition printed at the time of its original publication. It is not only a physical publication, it is also one of the first attempts to express an idea, to combine a text and an image, to experiment in the field of form and structure. The materiality of a book, i. e. the texture, thickness and weight of the paper becomes an integral part of an artistic experience.
Artists' books invite to engage with multiple themes: to observe time and existence, to experience the creative process, love, personal change and transformation, to explore memory and its perpetuation, to face fears, embrace challenges, and foster relationships with a place, nature, technology and media.
