Exhibition "Red"
The series of artworks by Ukrainian artist Ganna Bogachuk
Not just peaceful blue and yellow. RED (or “chervone”) is the key color in traditional Ukrainian embroidery and folk-art. It’s a color of vitality, fire & power of life. It comes from blood, running through our veins, what is our strength and weakness at the same time. This is color of love and passion to freedom.
Ganna Bogachuk a Ukrainian artist currently based in Vilnius, Lithuania due to war in Ukraine. Hanna has been drawing all her life, but she dared to fully dedicate herself to art only in 2018. Since then, Ganna's works have already received recognition in Ukraine, Greece and Germany. In her art Ganna is discovering Ukrainian ethnic visual codes, folk art and traditions. She tries to rethink and combine them with modern life and context.
Exhibition is open from 14 September to 7 October. Exhibition is free of charge.
