Guest Residencies | Performance "triple-edged circle"
On November 7th 6 p.m. Gabrielle Emily Aidulis, participant of KAH Guest residencies, will present the performance "triple-edged circle" (triangular circle).
"triple-edged circle" - a movement performance that explores the transformation process through repetition. This is the result of artistic research, during which the artist looked at how movement can become a fundamental source of creative ideas trying to reveal the inner experiences encoded in movement.
This artistic research/performance was inspired by Gabrielle's desire to make sense of intuitive movement. Movement repetition emerged as a research tool to help understand the potential of one movement and opportunities for its further development by discovering as many variations as possible. Variations naturally become a process of transformation, and repetitive movements bring the possibility of a meditative state, where subconscious (hard to name) images are hidden, which can further influence movement transformation and become a source of ideas.
