Ukraine! Unmuted. Triennial of Contemporary Ukrainian Art
Contemporary Ukrainian art triennial "Ukrainian Cross-Section 2022. UKRAINE! UNMUTED" presents contemporary artworks by Ukrainian artists from Dnipro, Kherson, Kyiv, Kharkiv, Lviv, Odesa and Donetsk. The exposition invites visitors to discover 17 artworks: video works, installations and objects, paintings, graphics, photographic works and a performance. It has particular focus is the context of colonialism, and the reinterpretation and actualization of some special Ukrainian artistic phenomena of the 20th and 21st centuries. The triennial is organised by „Kaunas – European Capital of Culture 2022” in partnership with Lviv’s “Cultural Strategy Institute”, “Virmenska 35” and other Ukrainian partners.
During one month program not only the exhibition is presented, but also a performance organized as well as public discussions and presentation of the book of essays.
